CSI Initiatives
NAM has a long standing Corporate Social Investment (CSI) policy which has a focus on education and youth development.
We recognise the shortage of certain skills in the Namibian economy and the impact this has on the economy’s competitiveness and growth. Our CSI policy was therefore designed to guide the Company’s response to this national challenge.
Investing in Namibians
Through annual CSI interventions, NAM has been able to provide access to training and skills development opportunities for many young Namibians mainly through awarding bursaries and scholarships in specific financial related areas of study.
We also have special interventions by financing or donating equipment and infrastructure which lead to the improvement of teaching and learning on primary and secondary schooling levels. Our CSI programs are financed through budgetary allocations every financial year with a commitment by our Board of Directors to provide funding equivalent to at least 1% (one percent) of our profit after tax (PAT).
Our Initiatives
From education to financial support and early development, our CSI programs make a tangible difference in Namibian communities
NAM Bursary Program
Our bursary program supports underprivileged Namibian students excelling in finance investment fields at tertiary institutions. Since 2013, over students have benefited, with contributions exceeding N$ 4 million. In 2023, we added the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification to eligible programs and expanded to include Work Integrated Learning internships. Collaborating with the UNAM Foundation since 2019 has streamlined bursary management, while a2021 partnership with a local audit provides support for Chartered Accountant students through mentoring and work opportunities.
Give Back December
Giving back is a cherished NAM tradition. Every December, employees choose a community project to support, and the Company their contributions for a consolidated donation. Over the years, we have supported various initiatives, such as: - **2024:** Side by Side Early Intervention Centre in Windhoek, aids children with disabilities and their families through education and support, ensuring no child faces challenges alone. - **2025:** Ebenezer Soup Kitchen, established in 2019, provides warm meals and educational support to children in the Havana informal settlement, aiming restore dignity and hope in the community.

Amos Meercat Syllabus project
NAM has been a proud supporter and sponsor of the Amos Meercat Foundation since 2021. The Amos Meercat Syllabus project is an early childhood development (ECD) initiative that provides a Christian-based curriculum, training, and materials to prepare 5- and 6-year-olds for Grade 1, especially those in remote farms and informal settlements with limited access to education. The project trains local educators and empowers mothers to run preschools, focusing on academic readiness, character building, and holistic child development, reaching thousands of children across Namibia annually.
